Pictures from my trip down south...
I'm pretending to be the troll, waiting for a few billy goats to come along (Chattanooga, TN..under a bridge)
Chattanooga's pedestrian bridge over the Tennessee River...it is so cool to walk across, maybe not as cool as falling off, though!
Self-explanatory
The glass bridge leading to the Hunter Museum...very cool to look down through it at the passing cars below!
The new wing of the Museum with the old in the background
My house...ok, maybe not...maybe it's the original wing of the Museum...damn.
The pedestrian bridge...from the other side...cuz I'm cool like that.
Sierra, after a nasty altercation with a local witch...or perhaps it's a lovely horse sculpture in front of the Museum? Looks like it's made of wood, but it's not...very nifty.
Trying to make another artistic shot here...laying on the ground under a gazebo-like art structure. For all you know, it could be my hairnet...
A giant net...this is Shaquille O'Neal's hammock, I believe.
Myrtle Beach, SC...wish I'd taken more pics. That's Patrick, my friend Tim's boyfriend..and man, would I love to be out on the parasail in the background!!!
The Old Mill at my alma mater, Berry College...this spot is so wonderfully serene and beautiful...also, the day that I was there was absolutely perfect.
Look at them pretty rocks! Proof that I was hiking up in the mountains of my college campus...sooo much fun!
Tried to get a good shot of the mountains from the trail I was on...
The always-beautiful reservoir...I was pretty much standing in the water when I took this pic...look at the crystal clear water and sky...wow.
I really liked how this shot turned out...who cares what you think?! lol
Yes, it's the same damn scene..but I like both shots! I just had to capture as much of the beautiful weather and scenery as possible lol And to think someone once tried to tell me that Kalamazoo College is prettier than Berry's campus?? So far, NO campus I've seen can outshine Berry's...end of story.

Bush Joke and Other Stuff...it's Friday!!!
In the meantime, this Bush Administration joke from Comedy Central's Joke of the Day cracked me up big time, so I had to share:
George Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld are flying on Air Force One.
The President looks at the Vice President, chuckles, and says, "You know, I could throw a $1,000 bill out the window right now and make somebody very happy."
The Vice President shrugs and says, "Well, I could throw 10 $100 bills out the window and make 10 people very happy."
Not to be outdone, the Secretary of Defense says, "Of course, then, I could throw 100 $10 bills out the window and make a hundred people very happy."
The pilot rolls his eyes and says to his co-pilot, "Such arrogant asses back there. Hell, I could throw the three of them out the window and make 56 million people unbelievably happy."
Also, here is an interesting news article from the web:
It's about a guy with a gadget that allowed him to change red lights to green...I want one!!
Spring is my favorite season, for sure...and I am loving the weather currently!! As long as the 80s stay FAR away, I will be a happy boy.
There are a few things I am really anticipating in the next couple months as well:
1) Next Tuesday, the Goo Goo Dolls' new album, Let Love In, will be out in stores...woohoo!!!! From what I've heard of it on their website, it sounds excellent.
2) All of tv is heading into the always-entertaining May Sweeps, and everyone pulls out all the stops, making for rip-roaring good tv and especially tasty season/series finales. The as-yet undetermined fate of Everwood is killing me (ok..I'm not that dramatic, but I am worried! lol).
3) Vacation in May...not sure where yet...to be decided!!
4) Movies: Mission: Impossible III (May 5), Poseidon (May 12), The Da Vinci Code (May 19...need to finish the way excellent book, pronto!!), X-Men: The Last Stand (May 26), Cars (June 9), possibly more...
5) Keane's 2nd album hits stores June 20th, I believe...yeah!!
6) College kids getting the hell out of Ann Arbor...HUGE WOOHOO!!!!!
7) How could I forget...the French Open in May??!?!!!
8) And of course, gotta root on the kick-ass Pistons...and even tho I don't care too much for hockey, the Red Wings deserve a shout-out too!

Longest...entry...ever
Traveling on I-75 to Atlanta from Ypsilanti, MI (approx. 11 hours each way) actually is a lot more fun and somewhat liberating than it sounds! Ok...Ohio isn't exactly the lost Wonder of the world, but for the most part, but the rest of the drive was mostly wonderful. Nice weather and little roadwork helps too! I noticed how most tailgaters I encountered (even when going 90 mph!) were women...bitches on wheels indeed!
Tennessee
My first stop on the way down was in Chattanooga, TN to visit my friend Shawn, who I hadn't seen in a while. His little dog (Odie...love that name! heh heh) and Sierra, my 60 lb. lab/pitbull/etc. mix, got along so well...made for great nighttime entertainment! lol Shawn is a master decorator by the way and has offered to decorate for me anytime, free of charge...maybe not, but he should!!
Walking in downtown Chattanooga after my arrival and again the next morning was so cool...I love the Tenn. River area and the pedestrian bridge. The glass bridge going to the art museum is pretty amazing as well. I'm going to put pics up later.
Georgia
After a pretty hefty wrong turn that sent me smack dab into the Atlanta rush-hour commute that I was so trying to avoid (dammit!!), I made it into Roswell, GA, where my family is. Sierra friggin remembered their street and house...after 9 months of being away...see? Dogs ARE smart!! She perked up like Anna Nicole Smith does when she sees a rich old man walking by.
Also, it was soo HOT outside...mid 80s at least...I was smart not to pack any long-sleeve shirts.
I went out to eat with the family (my mom's parents who live across the street, my mom, dad, and sis). We had an early birthday dinner for me (1 of about 4, I think) at Longhorn Steakhouse...hey, I hadn't had good porkchops in a looong time, so I was craving them! Olive Garden is everywhere, but not Longhorn. And they were YUMMY...even the animal heads on the walls wanted some, but I wasn't about to share...
It was also very nice to spend time with the fam again...I do miss them. My sister driving my grandparents and me around was hillarious...they were being backseat drivers as usual, but then my sister IS a scary driver...she's the queen bitch on wheels!
Cold Stone for dessert...I grossed everyone out with my cinnamon ice cream mixed with graham cracker and coconut...what gives???? That shit is the BOMB!! MMMMM...my grandmother gagged...geez.
Myrtle Beach, SC
Sat. morning (my birthday!!!!!!!!!^infiniti), I once again was behind the wheel for another shorter roadtrip (only 6 hours each way, this time...piece of cake!). My friend Tim and his well-matched boyfriend, Patrick, accompanied me to Myrtle Beach for two purposes: 1) to see the beach 2) see Switchfoot in concert (well, to give me company at least). Did I make it to Myrtle Beach without wrong turns? Is Bush the most excellent at foreign policy ever?? HELL no! Damn roadsigns messed me up. And who in the hell doesn't put a gas station up for miles and miles and miles??? You're not supposed to have to ask directions TO a gas station...that's where you GO for directions! lol
Anyway...I enjoyed another birthday dinner (#2) at Fuddrucker's...mmmm...ostrich burger!
Let me tell you...the House of Blues at Myrtle Beach is kick-ass...I loved it! Switchfoot picked a good venue, for sure...and after I had a very nice drink from the bar, they took the stage. Fucking fantastic is not enough to describe this concert...best one I've been to (my 5th concert...I'm building up my experience..don't worry! lol). Jon, the vocalist, was on fire (and so hot...well, not as hot as brother Tim)...and the feeling throughout the House was electric during most of the songs. "We Are One" and "This is Your Life" sent chills through me the most, though. Wow. This was more than a performance for us to witness and rock out too...it was an experience. Some girl even got them to sing "Happy Birthday" (Tim, Patrick, and I just pretended it was all for me...cuz it really was lol). It's one of those times you wish could go on forever (the concert, not the Happy Birthday singalong heh heh).
We ended the night with a walk on the beach (a little chilly, but it's the ocean...who cares?!?!) And Tim will kill me for sharing this...but he streaked!! Peer pressure...YEAH!!!! The sand crabs are blind for life, though...
Of course, we had to go back in the morning before departing to get another beach fix. I've missed frisbee on the beach so much...and the ocean...nature's greatest untamed beast...hopefully, I'll get back to one of them very soon).
Georgia...again...Sunday
With an hour to spare, I turned around from my arrival from SC and headed out to my friend Julie's house. $#$$!!*^& (I made a wrong turn to her place as well...there's a reason I have a reputation for getting lost, I think). She and her husband, Matt, have done an excellent job with their new home...and they made me a wonderful dinner (# 3)!! Man, it was so awesome to catch up and trade gossip and whatnot. Of course, they have a kickass entertainment center...and what better to watch on a big screen than Food Network, eh?? lol
Fun times...I love Julie. She also thought it fun to remind me of the time in our freshman year of college when everyone in our circle of friends thought it would be fun to kick me whenever someone said "clock"...what a fun game.
I took advantage of the late drive back to my parents' and drove around town, windows-down, music blaring...woohoo!!!
Still, I had three days remaining of my vacation...
Monday
Monday was spent visiting old coworkers at the bank I worked at until last June. I always feel so special when I go there...so many people know me there or know OF me...it's crazy! I still don't understand why I had such an impact on these people lol...but I love them and miss them. Sabrina and Peggy, two of my faves, treated me to a wonderful Mexican lunch at Moe's (similar to Chipotle and Qdoba)...love me a huge burrito!! YEAH! (birthday meal # 4, by the way...) So much work gossip to catch up on...it's great to have good connections..heh heh. Almost makes up for the comments about my driving...
I went back to the bank to bug/visit a bit more...talked politics/current events with Judy, my old manager and met the hot, hot, HOT new lender, Jason (of course he started working there AFTER I left! dammit), who has a sense of humor so much like mine...and eyes I couldn't stop looking at lol.
I can't leave out that after leaving there, I went to Cumming (for you non-Georgians...yes, it's a city...they are constantly orgasmic there) to visit good ol' Barb, who I worked with for 3 years and mothered me constantly. She friggin cried when she saw me come in the bank there...followed by a big hug!! She was like, "You look so beautiful!!" lol...see how crazy she is? She's originally from Michigan and was one of the few who told me all the good things about living here. She provided lots of amusement during my years at the bank with her (accidentally flashing a customer comes to mind first)...one cool middle-aged woman, for sure!
Rounding out the night was another dinner with the fam, grandparents, aunt, and family friends (birthday meal # 5)...my mom's spaghetti and the traditional Great American Cookie Co. cookie cake...YUM!! AND my mom made her awesome peanut butter cookies as well...I was so friggin spoiled. It was kinda fun to avoid questions about girlfriends (only my parents and sis in this group know of me being gay)...I'd be a great addition to the Bush Administration as far as evading questions goes.
More good times, good laughs...
Tuesday
I will sooo sleep with your mom if you're still reading this...yeah....right
Breakfast with the grandparents across the street (not another birthday meal...oh well...)...then I took a 1.5 hour trip to Berry College, where I got edumacated. My dog came along (not exactly by choice), and we took a 2 hour hike in the mountain area of the campus. I ventured off on a trail I hadn't tried before. Some creeks and rocks to traverse through/over...Sierra actually loved getting wet a little too much lol.
It was so beautiful...I mean, absolutely perfect weather...cloudless, deep blue sky, temps in the mid-60s...slight breeze...low humidity...I was in heaven!! I needed some time alone with Mother Nature...we talked about the upcoming hurricanes and the lack of big snowfalls...I asked about her kids and stuff...it was fun.
Nah...I did my best to stay on the trail...it's kinda easy to get lost, considering the college owns 28,000 acres of land. Did I say how beautiful it was up there...especially with everything in bloom.
I rounded out the night hanging out with an old college friend, Melissa, and her boyfriend (took a wrong turn getting there too...someday, I'll have a chauffeur (aka boyfriend).
Wednesday
Breakfast with my grandparents again...goodbyes to everyone...on another beautiful day. My grandmother tried to give me everything in her kitchen, I think. lol I drove back to Michigan at a safe, cruising speed of 80-90 mph...and with a couple delays, made it home in 11 hours or so. Sierra is so depressed...she lost her playmates again...it's sad. She needs therapy.
Overall, I had one of the best times of my life, the concert being the high point, definitely. It was also very good to see everyone I care about back in GA happy. This trip recharged me...I'm ready to get my life rockin and rollin again! This ends my looooooooooooong post. If someone read all of this, you obviously have time on your hands, so come on over and clean my bathroom, ok?

Just being random on a slow Sunday...
Toilet for Big People
Speedtrap.org - a website that lists all of the reported speedtraps throughout the US...a good guide for trip planning. I read an article earlier today on Yahoo.com about how speedtrap town citizens are getting pissed over their reputations as speedtrap towns.
I also found an article about sting operations in Texas that involve police going undercover in bars to arrest people for public intoxication. If other states' police departments were to adopt this kind of policy, it could make for some interesting results, since more than a few get plastered every Fri./Sat. night at various clubs/bars. Here's the article.
My vacation begins Thursday!! Heading to Chattanooga first to visit a friend I haven't seen in a while, then off to GA to visit the fam and other friends. Sat. is the Switchfoot concert in S.C., followed by even more fun and going to the beach the next day!! I sooo can't wait, even though there will be lots of driving involved.
But first, my fave show, Everwood, returns on Mon. night at 8pm...2 hours...awesome!!! Hopefully, this won't be the end of its run, but who knows, given network politics lately.

Movies and other stuff
What a fantastic weekend!! 50s on Sat. and almost 70 on Sun. Sunshine a plenty. In my former home, Alpharetta GA, it reached 82, tieing the record high for that day. Waaay too friggin hot!! I was sweating with it being only 68 here...and I got to pull out the ol' sandals and shorts...woohoo!! Spring is definitely trying to beat Winter into submission. Of course, Winter returns tomorrow with temps in the 30s! If the temps could just stay between 60-70 in the day and 40-50 at night, I'd be a happy boy! Oh yeah..and the thunderstorms have been an added bonus, for sure...yeah!
I set up a Myspace profile over the weekend too. It seems to be a good way to meet new friends from what I've heard, as compared to sites like Friendster, which I got tired of pretty fast. Still not the best thing ever, but more people I know seem to be on Myspace, so it gets my vote. With that said, if you're on Myspace and I don't already have you as a friend, what the hell are you waiting for...come be my friend!!! lol www.myspace.com/pigfiddle is where it's at, my friends. Don't miss out on the BEST space on Myspace and all the other spaces out there.
Movies:
I haven't been to see as many lately, but I do have to highly recommend two so far this year:
- The World's Fastest Indian (starring the excellent Anthony Hopkins)...This is such a wonderful feel-good movie, and Burt is such a cool, fun-loving guy.
- Transamerica (starring the also-excellent Felicity Huffman)...this movie is worth the time just to see Felicity Huffman's performance. I also recommend watching her in an episode of Desperate Housewives to see her range as an actress. The actor who plays Bree's son, Toby, is pretty good too (as well as HOT). One of the best parts of the movie is when Bree and Toby visit Bree's family.
Movies that I am looking forward to seeing are (most recent first):
- Cache - a French film that has just opened in downtown Ann Arbor (I love having the State and Michigan Theaters so close by!)...looks intriguing. The e in Cache should have an accent mark on it, but I don't know how to do that on here...so shoot me.
- V for Vendetta - this just looks friggin cool! (out March 17th)
- Ice Age 2 - hopefully, it'll be as good as the first (out March 31st)
- Friends With Money - a Jennifer Aniston film with Frances McDormand (one of my favorite actresses)...sounds like a good romantic comedy (out April 7th)
- On a Clear Day - a UK film that will hopefully be released in Ann Arbor soon (limited release is April 7th)...really looks like a good movie similar to World's Fastest Indian.
- Silent Hill - looks like a better-than-average video game adaptation; sounds like a cool premise to me (out on April 21st)
Yeah..so this is the end of this post...buh bye.

Concerts I'm Excited About!
Goo Goo Dolls
New album, Let Love In, will be out on April 25th!! That's twice that it's been pushed back, so hopefully, this is the final date. Can't wait! It's only been 4 years since the last all-new album...
Supposedly, the following tracks will be on the cd:
1. Stay With You
2. Let Love In
3. Feel The Silence
4. Better Days
5. Without You Here
6. Listen
7. I Can't Let Go
8. When You're Gone
9. Tuesday
10. Strange Love
11. Become
12. Give A Little Bit (why? this one's kinda done for me)
I heard they will be on tour from May through July, hopefully with Detroit being one of the stops! Johnny can stay at my place...
Switchfoot
On tour for Nothing is Sound this spring...March 15 through April 15. They are performing on my birthday (April 1st) in Myrtle Beach...since I will be in GA then, I'm thinking about getting crazy and going to see them...yeah!!!
They also are performing in East Lansing on April 19th, so that's a possibility too...but not as crazy (and not as fun...and NOT my birthday!).

February 23rd Randomosity
This is so cool! From CNN.com's Offbeat Images, "A group of 400 skydivers from 31 nations and the Royal Thai Air Force get together over Thailand's northern province of Udon Thani on Wednesday, February 8, to create the largest-ever connected skydiving formation. The old record was a formation of 357 jumpers. The record attempt was organized as part of celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the coronation of revered King Bhumibol Adulyadej."

People get mushy and start acting queer
It's definitely the most annoying day of the year.

Before I shove a dozen roses up Cupid's ass.
I'll spend the day so drunk I can't speak
And wear all black for the rest of the week.

Naughty Netflix, Bottleneck Cities, & 4-wheelin Bank Robber
I used to have an account with Blockbuster online and started renting more and more movies. I noticed an eventual increase in shipping times but didn't really think too much of it. Also, if I was renting a season of a tv show, discs would start to arrive out of order, forcing me to hold Disc 6, for instance, while waiting for 4 and 5 to arrive. Today, I came across an article about Netflix' tricky practice that explains what Blockbuster was intentionally doing. It kinda pissed me off...Netflix's Best Customers Penalized
Worst Cities for Traffic - This article discusses findings by the Texas Transportation Institute. According to the Institute, the top 12 cities for worst traffic are:

February 9th Randomosity (a Bush word)
Tuesday, I accidentally threw my car keys into a dumpster along with my trash bag, so for the first time in my life, I got to go dumpster diving!!! Fortunately, it was relatively empty...and I did kinda enjoy putting my gymnastic abilities to use. I also had a rather embarrassing incident in the training class when I dozed off for a second (oops)...but no worries, my body apparently has this built-in alarm clock in my ass for just such an occasion!
And for any of you who have Valentines, Kroger is offering a 3-for-1 special on cards...so you can, according to the announcement, hide 2 around the house for fun, leading to the 3rd, and she/he will apparently love all three. Fun stuff!
I thought I'd throw some other crazy shit into this blog entry...enjoy:
Website:
My Heritage.com- This website has a face recognition program that tries to analyze a photo you submit; it compares you to celebrities and regular people who also have pics posted on this site. I was quite pleased to know that I resemble Nadia Comaneci (58%), Colin Powell (53%), M. Night Shyamalan (45%), and others...yeah, I was bored. I guess this is proof that I do NOT look like Jude Law, as many say.

Photogenic Hillary & Interesting Websites
Websites:
Grills By Paul Wall - Jewelry for your teeth
The Slanket.com - "The Best Blanket Ever"
So the Super Bowl is Sunday in Detroit, and the snow will be back just in time!! Should be interesting...it does look like there are some fun things to do downtown. I really want to do some outdoor ice skating...it's been way too long. As for watching the biggest event in the universe, apparently, I may leave it on for background noise or something...or rent a movie. I do hope Seattle wins, though...those water-logged people need a ray of sunshine.
Changing the subject, I'm kinda bummed about news regarding 2 of my favorite tv shows. First, with the WB and UPN merging in the Fall to become the CW (what the hell?!?), it looks like Everwood is going to get the axe after only 4 seasons. It still has a chance but a slim one. It's one of the few shows out there that has been consistently excellent all across the board (writing, acting, etc.). Also, ABC has no room in its schedule to fit Alias when it's supposed to return in March...kinda weird, considering it's already known that this is its final season for sure. Maybe the final episodes will be released in the summer??? Who knows...stupid network politics!!
The Winter Olympics begin in a week!!!! WOOHOO!!

One Man Cometh, One Man Goeth, One Man Stayeth
Is it bad for me to be more excited about tonight's Gilmore Girls episode than the State of the Union address? I mean, this episode is supposed to have THE Friday Night Dinner to rule them all at the Gilmore Mansion with all hell and hillarity breaking loose. Since I'm taping it, this will be a great follow-up to the Bush speech...oh yeah!! lol
Before I end this entry, I did come across some completely unrelated articles that made me laugh and that I have to share:
The first is an article about a guy who tripped over his shoelace and smashed priceless vases in a museum...
The second is about a group that decided to have a party in a post-mortem room in a hospital.
And tomorrow begins February...only 28 days...and who cares about the middle one, right?

The Australian Open Ends...
Roger Federer (Yahoo Sports/David Gray)
The men's final between Federer (who else) and unknown Baghdatis opened with two very intense sets. When Federer lost the first set, I started to get worried. After all, Baghdatis had taken down Roddick, Nalbandian, and Ljubicic. Fortunately, Federer cranked it up a notch and took back the 2nd set and sailed through the 3rd and 4th to win his 7th Grand Slam!! Fun match to watch...Baghdatis is one to watch in future tournaments, for sure; seems like a very cool guy as well! Federer now is halfway to reaching the record 14 Grand Slam wins that Sampras achieved in his day.
Amelie Mauresmo (Yahoo Sports/Getty Images/Clive Brunskill)
The women's final was the most disappointing match I've ever witnessed (complete opposite of last year's Wimbledon final). Justine Henin-Hardenne, who was quite obviously not playing at her normal level with which she beat Davenport and Sharapova, called it quits because of stomach pains. This, after being getting her ass kicked hard by Mauresmo...based on her comments and how she looked afterwards, she most definitely could've hung in there for 4 more games to let Mauresmo win in a proper manner. It was really cheap, in my opinion, for the bitch..er, H-H to sit out because she wasn't playing as well as she should be due to her discomfort. Ugh!! Mauresmo won her first major title, though...despite the bittersweet ending of the match. Awesome!
Just another comment regarding Mauresmo: H-H was not her only opponent to retire in this tournament (Clijsters out with an ankle injury, and Krajicek out with heat exhaustion). Maybe Mauresmo has taken a liking to dark magics or something? Hmmm...that's the Buffy fan in me talking...yeah, I know...dork.
There weren't all that many exciting matches in this tournament, and it sucked to see many of my favorites go down early. Next up in the Grand Slams is the French Open (May 29 - June 11) in Paris. Clay play..woohoo!!
The next big sport event I'm greatly anticipating is the Winter Olympics...I love, love, LOVE the winter sports!!! As for the Super Bowl, I don't really care for it any more...too much of a very drawn-out production for me; the BCS is a hell of a lot more exciting than the Super Bowl! And besides, I really don't get off on seeing boobage...

HUGE Cake, Amusing Articles, & Tennis Thoughts
In the News:
Some Chinese are so excited about going home for the Chinese New Year that they will endure wearing diapers for the trip.
An article about a nurse with an interesting way of relieving stress.
Here's an article about a guy who launched his prosthetic legs at a cop. THAT would've been hillarious to see!
First, a guy tries to drive in a carpool lane with a dummy (link in a previous post--good luck finding it!), then this woman tries to find another loophole involving her unborn child.
Hide-and-seek becomes hide-and-stuck (I am so cheesy) in a washing machine.
Tennis (Aussie Open):
Just to show you how devoted I am to my faves...I woke up at 2am, took a fun drive through downtown Ann Arbor (finding an alternate route from work to home too!!), went to Kroger, then came home to watch my fave tennis lady, Lindsay Davenport, fall to Belgian waffle Justine Henin-Hardenne (from 3:30 to 5:30). Even my dog thought I was crazy, but it was quite fun!! Well, watching Davenport lose wasn't... I feel satisfied in knowing that H-H will be given a strong heave-ho by Sharapova. But you know, I really don't know which lady will win this weekend. I predict Hingis vs. Sharapova in the Final.
As for the men, Federer gave me a scare with his 5-setter in the Round of 16 (since he statistically does bad with 5-setters). I'm still counting on him being in the Final against Nalbandian.
As for my favorites that were ousted...Roddick tried, Hewitt wasn't at his best at all, Ginepri also wasn't at his best, and don't get me started on the Williams sisters. I still want to root for them, but it's hard when it's becoming more and more obvious that tennis is no longer their passion.
And Nadal and Agassi have been missed, for sure...

Real-life Humorous Incidents and a Joke
The first two are from my Stupidest Things Ever Said calendar...
"RECYCLED FLUSH WATER UNSAFE FOR DRINKING"
-warning label on public toilet, Ann Arbor, Michigan
That explains the bad breath of many of my customers at the bank...
"I want to thank my friend, Senator Bill Frist, for joining us today....He married a Texas girl, I want you to know. Karyn is with us. A West Texas girl, just like me." (President George W. Bush)
From an old Bonehead of the Day Calendar:
"We didn't believe this one until we confirmed it. A Christchurch, New Zealand, man stapled his penis to a crucifix and then set it on fire to win a 'how far will you go' contest with a $500 winning prize and a $500 bar tab."
"The Canadian Press reported that three restaurant robbers took a store's safe and, with great difficulty, hoisted it into the trunk of an employee's car only to see it fall out as they hit a speedbump as they sped away. Not wanting to put it back into the trunk again, they began ramming the safe with the car to get it open, according to police who had plenty of time to arrive and watch the show."
One last one from an e-mail a friend sent me:
The Personnel Manager said, "Mujibar, you have passed all the tests, except one. Unless you pass it you cannot qualify for this job."
Mujibar said, "I am ready."
The manager said, "Make a sentence using the words Yellow, Pink and Green."
Mujibar thought for a few minutes and said, "Mister manager, I am ready."
The manager said, "Go ahead."
Mujibar said, "The telephone goes green, green, green, and I pink it up, and say, 'Yellow, this is Mujibar.'"
Mujibar now works as a technician at a call center for computer problems. No doubt you have spoken to him.

More Random Pictures
Warning: some of these pictures contain extreme dorkiness...viewer discretion is advised!
Me and a bowl of dry Honey-Nut Cheerios...and I still love them that way!
Yeah, it's small...but this is a rare event: me catching a fish!!
What I want to be doing right now!! I think that was in Aspen, CO in the mid-90s (I'm the one on the right).
Lounging in my grandparents' front yard, once a summer/fall afternoon ritual...I kinda miss those days (late 90's).
One of the best days of my life...even tho it poured all 3-4 hours, and we were told we were rafting in dangerous conditions...what a thrill!!!! (1995)
At my parents' house about to head to work as a scarecrow on Halloween (2003).
Not a costume...and I think there's a snowball in my gloves. (mid 90s)
Graduation from Berry College...Green Hall (the business school) in the background. That's my short family. (2002)
My grandparents...my grandmother sadly gave up her bitchin look soon after that, and that's the man who greatly influenced my sense of humor.
LOL...my bedroom at my parents' house before I moved out...I was a bit of a Star Trek fan once upon a time.
And the other 2 walls were just as covered...

The Australian Open Begins Monday!
Thankfully, we have ESPN 2 to cover the Open, since the major networks don't really think it is a big crowd-pleaser like Wimbledon and the US Open. Because of the time difference, coverage begins Sun. night 7pm - midnight, which should be live. Just because it's First Round doesn't mean there won't be some exciting matches. After all, Andy Roddick was ousted in the First Round of the US Open, as was the defending women's champion, I believe.
It's sad to see that Agassi and Nadal are out with injuries, but I guess this will give Roddick more of a shot at making it to the Final. I believe Federer will win this time around...he's still not showing any sign of letting up. As for the women, Clijster would've been my pick, but she's got an injury she's working with...so either Pierce or Davenport could pull it off.
I love printing out the Draws and filling in the winners of each round...because I'm weird..duh!!
Here's the schedule from the official site (in Australian/Melbourne time): schedule Ginepri and Davenport's matches are at the same time, so no Ginepri eye-candy for me till later on in the Open (I'm hoping this very skilled dude will make it as far as he did in the US Open...he's awesome AND hot!!).
If you don't hear/see me in the next 2 weeks, you'll know what I'm doing...heh heh. This is my absolute favorite sport to watch/play...I LOVE the grand slam events!!!
Bring it on!! And in just a month's time, the Winter Olympics will be here (and oh, how I love just about every event...even the scandalous figure skating isn't that bad (compared to gymnastics!)). BOOYAH!!!
If you read through all this, you must be a tennis fan too, like humoring me, or you are incredibly bored lol.

One More Article...
Man's static jacket sparks alert - for some reason, this article hit my funny bone just right, and I was laughing so hard that I had a hard time breathing. I so wish I could link my imagination to a tv screen...then everyone would see why I find some things so friggin funny.
And today in my part of Michigan, it was 52 degrees and sunny...very warm for Jan. here and so wonderful!! I spent quite a bit of time outside enjoying it...it might be a while before a day like this comes again.
Only a few days till the Australian Open begins (minus Nadal and Agassi, unfortunately)!!!

Funny News Articles & a Joke
Man Sets Self on Fire in Courtroom - This dude must be a fellow Aries since he has such a fiery personality (how's THAT for cheesy?!?!)
Man Beats Jellyfish, Vomiting in Swim - I found Nemo...he pulled a Little Mermaid and really wants to be a fish again.
Ocean View - as soon as the poison works - Another person who is really drawn to the sea.
Chained Artist Forced to Hop It - This is why not to chain your legs together in the desert.
Mouse Sets House Ablaze - So what if a house burned down...it's still funny how it happened.
From Comedy Central's Joke of the Day:
Redneck Bubblebath
Q: How does a redneck take a bubblebath?
A: He farts in a puddle.
Crass, I know..but still funny, right?

Me vs. Ice, Round II
Let's just say I was not very pleased by our road crew's slow response to the weather this morning. If you had been in the car with me, you may have heard some expletives. I will admit, I was a little anxious during the drive. I was actually glad to be sitting still on 23 for about an hour! lol I even had radio personality Brian Farrar, whoever he is, to keep me company...hearing about stupid courses colleges offer...very entertaining.
I arrived at work around 10:15, 2.5 hours later (as opposed to the usual 15 min.). BUT the key word is arrived...no fender-benders, no careening off into a ditch..whew! I, a relatively-new Michigander, managed fine on the ice!! All those people who saw my GA license plate probably thought I wouldn't make it...so, BOOYAH!!!
I feel like I deserve a ribbon or plaque or something. I mean, there were, according to the radio, at least 30 accidents of varying degrees out there! At the very least, my bank could give me a raise or a day off! Yeah....sure... No one else could make it to work today...so I get to sit here and twiddle my thumbs all by myself for the next 5 hours. Woohoo!
Today's ice incident has only made me stronger, as per the old adage, right?
If you read this, you must really be bored, but thanks for humoring me! ;-)

ME: The Early Years II
Pimp my ride.
Why I wasn't an artist (I think that's the flag?)...and that's the old piano that brought my musical talent alive.
Hello Kitty?!?! Come on!! This must be an altered photo...
I'm in the back, dressed as Hordak from She-Ra (I actually remember that!), my sis in front (the one with the pointy hat heh heh), a witch dummy next to her, and my mom as Elvira.
I used to think it was cool to put on fake glasses, not knowing that in a few years, I'd need real ones...
Look Mom, I'm a bean pole!
At the 1991 Citrus Bowl with my dad to see GA Tech beat Nebraska to tie for the National Championship (back before the BCS began, I think). And man, do I look like a big dork or what...look at those shades!!

My country tis of thee...
My first vehicle...my dad liked to push me around in diaper boxes.
I wish I was still that cute!!
My grandmother kisses me good night as I hold onto my fave stuffed animal, Old Bird (I never had a teddy, just a bird)
And the Lions won the Orange Bowl...BOOYAH!!!! GREAT game...look forward to the Rose Bowl tomorrow night. Who will it be, Texas or USC? Tough call, but my bet's on Texas.
